Teaching

I love to teach, and beyond coaching chamber music or giving master classes, I maintain both a private studio in New York City both in-person and virtually.

As a teacher, I help foster my students’ curiosity and excitement about learning the cello, while identifying their strengths and the parts of their playing that need extra care and attention. My studies with world-renowned cello pedagogues have informed my musicianship, teaching style, and approach, and I believe musical intention and freedom of expression stem from a strong, relaxed technical foundation.
